Onyx - Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

1.1 By registering for, entering, or participating in any event organized by Onyx, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
1.2 Participation in any Onyx event constitutes full acceptance of these terms.

2. Nature of the Platform

2.1 Onyx is a skill-based competitive sim racing platform.
2.2 All races, championships, and events are determined by driver skill, performance, and conduct, not chance or randomness.
2.3 Onyx is not a casino, gambling service, or betting platform.
2.4 Entry fees are paid for participation in competitive racing events and related services (organization, broadcasting, administration), not for wagering.

3. Eligibility & Participation

3.1 Participants must:

  • Use their primary racing account

  • Provide accurate registration information

  • Meet event-specific requirements

3.2 Participants are responsible for ensuring they are available and able to compete at the scheduled event time.

4. Entry Fees & Payments

4.1 Entry fees may apply to single races, championships, leagues, or special events.
4.2 All entry fees are displayed prior to registration and must be paid in full before participation is confirmed.
4.3 Entry fees grant access to the event only and do not guarantee prize winnings.

5. No-Show & Cancellation Policy

5.1 Single Races

  • If a participant fails to attend a race without cancelling at least 24 hours before the scheduled event, the entry fee is non-refundable.

  • If cancellation is made at least 24 hours prior to the event, a refund or credit may be issued at Onyx’s discretion.

5.2 Championships & Leagues

  • If a participant withdraws less than 24 hours before the start of the first race, the entry fee is non-refundable.

  • Withdrawals after a championship or league has started are not eligible for refunds under any circumstances.

  • 5.3 It is the participant’s responsibility to notify Onyx of cancellations through official communication channels.

6. Prize Pools & Winnings

6.1 Prize pools may vary between events and are announced prior to race start.
6.2 Prize distribution may differ by division, event format, or award type.
6.3 Only participants who comply with all sporting and conduct rules are eligible for prizes.

7. Prize Payout Methods

7.1 Prize payouts may be made using one or more of the following methods:

  • PayPal

  • Bank transfer

  • Cryptocurrency

  • Other agreed payment methods

7.2 The payout method is selected by Onyx, unless otherwise agreed.
7.3 Participants are responsible for providing accurate payment details.
7.4 Onyx is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect payout information.

8. Taxes & Legal Responsibility

8.1 Participants are solely responsible for declaring and paying any applicable taxes, fees, or charges related to prize winnings or participation.
8.2 Onyx does not provide tax advice and bears no responsibility for participants’ tax obligations.

9. Conduct & Fair Play

9.1 Participants must race fairly, respectfully, and in accordance with sporting regulations.
9.2 Unsporting behavior, cheating, intentional incidents, or exploitation of game mechanics may result in penalties, disqualification, or bans.
9.3 Onyx reserves the right to remove participants who violate rules or disrupt events.

10. Refund Exclusions

10.1 No refunds will be issued for:

  • No-shows without timely cancellation

  • Disqualifications due to rule violations

  • Voluntary withdrawal after deadlines

  • Technical issues on the participant’s side (internet, hardware, software)

11. Media & Content Rights

11.1 By participating, participants grant Onyx the right to use:

  • Names

  • Usernames

  • Liveries

  • Race footage and results

for broadcasts, highlights, promotional content, and official publications.

12. Liability Disclaimer

12.1 Onyx is not responsible for:

  • Technical failures beyond its control

  • Service interruptions of third-party platforms

  • Loss of virtual items, ratings, or accounts

12.2 Participation is at the participant’s own risk.

13. Amendments & Authority

13.1 Onyx reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time.
13.2 Updates will be published prior to enforcement.
13.3 In all matters not explicitly covered, Onyx’s decision is final.

14. Governing Law

14.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by applicable local laws of the organizer’s operating jurisdiction.
14.2 Any disputes shall be handled in accordance with those laws.
